In the era where artificial intelligence technology heralds the Fourth Industrial Revolution, the dialogue between humanities and technology has become more important and also more challenging. To reflect meaningfully on technological developments from a humanistic perspective, one must possess a substantial understanding of technology as well as a foundation in humanities and history. Serving in an educational role at a medical university, our mission is to cultivate young talents who can integrate humanities and technology for innovation. At the same time, we should also engage with society to drive the transformative development of Taiwan as a whole. Driven by this sense of mission, we have established the “Research Center for Humanities and Social Engagement.”
